In October 2007, Richard Gough visited UC San Diego, UC Irvine, UC Davis and UC Berkeley, giving lectures, seminars and panel presentation on issues related to “Performance, Performativity, and Practice.” Richard Gough is the Artistic Director of the Centre for Performance Research (CPR) and Professor in the Department of Theatre, Film and Television Studies at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. As Artistic Director of CPR, and its predecessor Cardiff Laboratory Theatre, Richard Gough has curated and organized numerous international theatre projects over the last 30 years which include conferences, research projects, summer schools, workshop programs, and international festivals, as well as producing nationwide tours of experimental theatre and traditional dance/ theatre ensembles from around the world.
